It seems as thou the second a movie hits the theatre’s it’s only a matter of time before the pre-order links start popping up for the products. Breathtaking CGI in this violent, rather dark, and appreciably grim third installment. Ceasar is back, leading his army into a war he never wanted to initiate, the stakes are high and the tensions between human and ape reach boiling point in this Grade A blockbuster.
Tom Holland is great as Spider-Man/Peter Parker, but he and the film are overshadowed by the command performance of Michael Keaton. Keaton completely owns the film and takes away the spotlight from our very own spidey. Enter Michael Keaton as the MCU’s finest villain, in the safely conventional Spider-Man: Homecoming. Still THE best Spider-Man film i’ve ever seen thou despite my previous comments and it’s well worth watching again. A much more relatable, down to earth spidey.
Fun, exuberant and rip-roaring. This is an R-rated blast of comic-book-inspired movie-making, heavily and lovingly aestheticized into a caffeinated cinematic frenzy; if only Tony Scott were alive to see this clever mix of bleeding-heart romanticism with bloody violence.
Dark, Sinister and Captivating. The Mummy is a great first installment to the Universal classic monsters franchise but it falls short of top marks due to it’s indecisiveness on deciding what genre it is. Is it this? Is it that? Who knows, but what I do know is that it’s a fun little popcorn flick and a taster of things to come.
Baywatch is cheesy good fun with hilarious stand-out moments. Disengage your brain and have a good time!
