Liam Neeson returns as Bryan Mills, the retired CIA agent with a particular set of skills who stopped at nothing to save his daughter Kim from Albanian kidnappers. When the father of one of the kidnappers swears revenge, and takes Bryan and his wife hostage during their family vacation in Istanbul, Bryan enlists Kim to help them escape, and uses the same advanced level of special forces tactics to get his family to safety and systematically take out the kidnappers one by one.
My personal opinion of this film was that the original was so superb that a sequel was deemed unnecessary, so for me this film will never meet the standards of the first but that is only my opinion before I view this film, my opinion may be swayed dependent on the storyline and what it leads too. Considering the havoc that Bryan (Liam Neeson) caused in the first film for the new storyline should be Taken 2 “Revenge of the Albanians” in a nutshell. This all seems to me rather stupid but there are parts of this film that could work only if it is done carefully and doesn’t change into a separate film altogether. From the behind the footage scenes (Shown Below) we’re sure not to be short of any action but as far as the storyline is concerned we shall have to wait to find out.
