Tickets now available !

UniFrance Films and the Institut français du Royaume-Uni are delighted to announce that tickets are now available for the latest edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema. The annual showcase of contemporary French cinema will take place from April 23rd – 30th 2014 in key cities across the UK including London (Curzon Soho & Ciné Lumière), Bristol, Cambridge, Canterbury, Brighton, Nottingham and Oxford.

This year’s edition of Rendez-Vous with French Cinema showcases an outstanding line-up of films, most of them screened prior to their UK theatrical release.

Regional programme highlights include a Q&A with Albert Dupontel, director of 9 Month Stretch (9 Mois Ferme), at the Oxford screening on Tuesday 29th April at the Phoenix PH and Q&A with director of Violette, Martin Provost on the Saturday 26th April at Cambridge’s Arts PH.

Other titles screening regionally include: Bright Days Ahead, the story of a woman’s late-life crisis leading her into the arms of a much younger man, will open the festival’s programme, My Name is Hmmm…, first feature of agnès b., in which a young girl, abused at the hands of her father, runs away from her family, Venus in Fur, starring Emmanuelle Seigner as an actress determined to win a role from a difficult director which was nominated for 2 César awards including Best Actress and Best Director for Roman Polanski, Grand Central depicting a love affair set against the backdrop of an unstable nuclear powerplant endangering the town’s inhabitants on a daily basis and Hiroshima mon amour, Alain Resnais’ masterpiece screened on a restored print.
