Mindy Robinson Interview

MindyBack to the Movies caught up with blonde bombshell Mindy Robinson to chat about her success and her rise to stardom in Hollywood.

Q: How long have you been working in the industry and what inspired you to start acting?
A: I’ve been in LA and acting for a little over a year now. I lucked out and replaced a principle actress on the set of Mansion of Blood while doing my first movie background gig. I’ve been working hard ever since and doing mostly horror movies, comedies and reality TV.
Q:What are the main differences between being on set of an independent film (Haunting Of Whaley House) and studio films (Ted) ?
A: Money. I’ve seen so many independent film makers put their blood, sweat and tears into their movies to get the best effects, props and production values that their budgets can supply….but if you take same incredible director and give him a butt load of money….you will see costumes, and sets, and props of things you can only imagine!!!
Q: You starred in the American version of “Take Me Out” what was that like and did you get yourself a date?
A: What I get recognized most from is being on that crazy George Lopez show all summer! No one saw the last episode apparently because everyone always asks me if I ever got a date, lol. I did, although the audience went crazy it was definately a great TV moment. People were blowing up online about how he shouldn’t have picked me but people stopped complaining after they saw that we actually had a good time on our date. I look like a bimbo but I’m actually a nerd. I think they figured that out.
Q: What projects are you currently working and what do you have lined up for 2013?
A: Well, this year I had a lot of small or supporting roles in about 50 different movies, TV shows, music videos and web series…so I suspect that’ll I’ll be popping up pretty much everywhere. The Haunting of Whaley House and Killjoy Goes to Hell are out to rent already, American Lie is set to open up the Mockfest Film Festival, Chicks Dig Gay Guys, Lizzie Borden’s Revenge, Bounty Killer, Bloodsucka Jones, Behaving Badly, and VHS 2, are some of the titles due out next year. For TV shows I’ll be on King of the Nerds, Millionaire Matchmaker, Celebridate, Tattoo Nightmares, Guinness Book of World Records Gone Wild and dozens of projects in between. I’m filming 3 different movies and a TV show next week alone….I just don’t want to stop working, what I do is just so much fun that I don’t want to miss any opportunities.
