IT Runtime is Revealed and It’s Longer Than We Thought

IT runtime

Horror fans rejoice as it look as thou IT will be on the screen for longer than we originally imagined. The runtime of the movie has been kept under wraps and with our usual horror film lasting around 90 minutes it would be safe to assume IT was similar in it’s length. But no. We were wrong, we were all very wrong.

One of the most hotly-anticipated horror films of the year, IT, the very same movie that broke the record for the most-viewed trailer in a 24 hour period has it’s runtime confirmed. The British Board of Film Classification (BBFC) has revealed that the duration of IT is a staggering 135 minutes!

This means that the film is looking to pack as much of the novel’s 1000 pages as humanly possible and it’s nice to have a long, drawn out horror movie experience. It really is about goddamn time!

I’m trying to remain calm, cool and collected with this newly released piece of information. All of this hype could be exactly that. Hype. Our nostalgia from seeing the original movie running wild with our creative minds for us to watch the new one and it sucking big time. But from what the trailers have revealed so far it looks as thou this remake will hold strong against the original. Eitherway it deserves to be seen on the big screen. Popcorn in hand just waiting for that jump scare where a shower of popcorn rises into the air and covers yourself and all of those around you.

The film will star Bill Skarsgård as the clown Pennywise, as well as Stranger Things‘ Finn Wolfhard, Jaeden Lieberher, Jeremy Ray Taylor, Sophia Lillis, Wyatt Oleff, Chosen Jacobs, Jack Dylan Grazer and Nicholas Hamilton.

‘IT’ will hit cinemas on September 8 and it’s going to be pretty awesome one way or another!
