Based on Emile Zola’s beloved novel ‘Thérèse Raquin,’ IN SECRET stars Elizabeth Olsen (Martha Marcy May Marlene), Golden Globe® nominee Oscar Isaac (Best Actor, Inside Llewyn Davis, 2014), Tom Felton (Harry Potter series) and two-time Oscar® winner Jessica Lange (Best Actress, Blue Sky, 1995; Best Supporting Actress, Tootsie, 1983).  In this provocative tale, a young woman, Therese (Olsen), gets trapped in a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin (Felton) by her domineering aunt (Lange), and then embarks on a torrid affair with her husband’s alluring friend, Laurent (Isaac). The two lovers soon find themselves compelled by their erotic passion to commit a crime that will haunt their lives forever.
The film is written and directed by Charlie Stratton (TV’s “Revenge”).  Co-starring in the film is Shirley Henderson (Trainspotting), John Kavanagh (HBO’s “The Tudors”), Mackenzie Crook (Pirates of the Caribbean series) and Matt Lucas (Bridesmaids).


A romantic thriller set in the lower depths of 1860s Paris, IN SECRET is a tale of obsessive love, adultery and revenge based on Emile Zola’s scandalous novel, ‘Therese Raquin’. Therese (Olsen), a sexually repressed beautiful young woman, is trapped into a loveless marriage to her sickly cousin, Camille (Felton), by her domineering aunt, Madame Raquin (Lange). Therese spends her days confined behind the counter of a small shop and her evenings watching Madame play dominos with an eclectic group. After she meets her husband’s alluring friend, Laurent (Isaac), she embarks on an illicit affair that leads to tragic consequences.
IN SECRET was produced by Mickey Liddell (The Grey), Pete Shilaimon (Black Rock), and William Horberg (The Talented Mr. Ripley). Executive producers are Jennifer Monroe, and Richard Sharkey.

The film has a run time of approximately 1 hour 42 minutes and is rated 15.
