I’ve always wanted another Scary Movie done by the Wayans brothers. I really want a White Chicks 2. As much as I want those, I’m really loving the films Marlon has been putting out. Sarcasm is often the funniest form of flattery, and it’s something I use in everyday life. There’s nothing funnier than a film like this calling out a dumb film by making another film about how dumb it is. I think this is the best Wayans film since White Chicks. Speaking of a sequel to that, I met Marlon once at the “Death at a Funeral” premiere. Mid-movie I got up to use the restroom and at the urinal he came up to the stall next to me and literally went “WASSSSSUUUP” while going to the bathroom. In my head, I said “Did he just quote Scary Movie? I smiled and said “Hey yo Dookie pick up the phone” and he laughed. At the after party as you can see he was having a good ole time and was cool enough to take a picture. Fifty Shades of Black is the kind of film that if you go in knowing that you shouldn’t take it seriously, you’ll have a blast. Unlike most critics, I can do that, and more importantly, I try to see screenings that they also fill in with regular audiences who don’t bring a notepad in to stop and take freaking notes. It’s the best spoof I’ve seen in awhile and the audience was also one of the more rowdy audiences I’ve had as of late. I look forward to whatever Marlon comes up with next (“White Chicks 2”!!!) and I highly recommend the film.
