Fast Lane 2016 Review

It’s the final WWE pay-per-view before WrestleMania 32, and it sucked..

Instead of going through a match by match analysis as per our usual WWE pay per view reviews, we’ll just summarize every other match bar the main event. Terrible, lack luster, dull, boring, this is NOT awesome.

Right, now onto the main event.

With FastLane still very much a pay-per-view baby in it’s second year it’s still getting to grips with providing high octane entertainment whilst also keeping all of the roster fit, healthy and prepared for Wrestlemania; it’s by no means an easy task but this pay per view played it so safe that the stars may as well of walked down the ramp covered head to toe in bubble wrap.

Fastlane - Main Event

The main event however was refreshingly different as the final match-up pitted Brock Lesnar, Dean Ambrose and Roman Reigns against one another with the winner to face Triple H at Wrestlemania. This match was quite entertaining from start to finish and even Brock’s very wooden and repetitive string of suplex’s didn’t put me to sleep this time around.

This was a good ending to an abysmal pay-per-view. I feel sorry for anyone who paid money to see this in person. I’m only hoping and praying Wrestlemania puts on a show the fans deserve, it’s been a tough year for stand out WWE matches, Vince and co need to reignite the fire, and fast!
