Ahead of it’s May release Deadpool 2 hasn’t gone down well in its original test screenings. Rumour has it that it doesn’t even compare to the original and audience members were citing the film as a ‘big mess’.
To add fuel to the fire, Josh Brolin who is playing the highly anticipated antagonist Cable in the movie has also confirmed that reshoots are currently taking please in Vancouver. This was disclosed in a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly.
Fox is stunned by the feedback and even issued a cease and desist to a well-known blogger Manabyte who tweeted about the movie before it was removed saying the following:
“Fox screened Deadpool 2 tonight (not Dark Phoenix again) and…yikes! First reaction wasn’t what I expected to hear. About a half hour longer than the first movie. No plot for a good chunk of it. [Morena Baccarin’s] Vanessa is wasted. Credit scenes are the best part of the whole thing.”
It’s all speculation and rumor of course. Test screenings certainly aren’t an indicator of the final movie but it’s not looking good for our merc with the mouth if these rumors are true.
