Dark Comedy – You Are Whole

You Are Whole is a dark comedy short about a spiritualist missionary who becomes mistaken for a serial killer in a sleepy British seaside town.
We are delighted to announce that You Are Whole premiered online at Short Of The Week on Saturday 4th June 2016 and has now been chosen as a Vimeo Staff Pick:

Norman Pugg arrives on the coast of England to spread the word of his new age religion. After finding a number his prospective converts dismembered in their own homes, Norman’s peculiar ways make him the prime suspect but he will not relent in his mission to bring clarity and wellbeing to a world that has stopped making sense.

Although I personally didn’t see any of the ‘comedy’ side of things, this slow paced short was just kept me hooked long enough to watch it’s entirety.

You Are Whole was shot on location over five days in Herne Bay and Margate, Kent with a crew of fifteen people, predominantly students.

You Are Whole premiered at Edinburgh Film Festival in 2015 and has gone on to screen at Palm Springs, St. Louis, Leeds, Aesthetica, London Short Film Festival and Manchester amongst others, winning the Jury Prize at the First! International Film Festival, Xining.
