Crazy About Tiffany’s Review

Crazy About Tiffany's

Tiffany & Co. has captured the aspirational dreams of the world with its legendary jewels, signature blue box and timeless sophistication. Crazy About Tiffany’s is a provocative and rare glimpse into the world of the luxury jeweler, the first, fully authorized documentary, showcasing how Charles Lewis Tiffany’s vision transformed from a simple jewelry store in New York City to a pop culture and global phenomenon.

Linking back to the cinematic history of Tiffany & Co portrayed in various movies throughout the years from Breakfast At Tiffany’s to Sweet Home Alabama and even Oceans Eleven. This documentary covers the full scope of the Tiffany brand, from it’s origins, to it’s client-base and explosion into every high-priced fashion jewellery collection.

Directed by Matthew Miele (Scatter My Ashes at Bergdorf’s), Crazy About Tiffany’s takes the audience on a captivating journey – from the moment each jewel is conceived to the Tiffany -designed trophy hoisted at the Super Bowl and the celebrity, jewel-adorned Oscar red carpet in Hollywood.

Featuring some of the fashion and film industry’s most recognizable faces, including Jessica Biel, Baz Luhrmann, Rachel Zoe and the first female Tiffany Design Director, Francesca Amfitheatrof, this film enbodies all that is Tiffany’s and all that the brand stands for. Elegance, class and a glimpse into a world of money I can only dream of, Crazy About Tiffany’s captures the heart and soul of one of the world’s most iconic brands.

As i’m personally into my brands and fashion I found this documentary so enlightening and interesting to watch, which is strange as I’m not a trophy wife nor do diamond rings appeal to me in any shape or form. If i’m still watching after 90 minutes (which I was) and if I was enjoying it (which I also was) then a tip of the hat is in order to the film-makers. The documentary grabbed my attention, it was filled with the right interviews, the right details and explored the brand in an interesting non-arrogant style and aired a fashionable class of it’s own. So whether you want to know about movies Tiffany have featured in, the appeal of the Tiffany brand on consumers or the design of the NFL Superbowl trophy, this film really does display the full works. No detail is spared.

Interesting, capturing and sparkling like the very diamonds themselves. Crazy About Tiffany’s is a homage to all the finer things in life and my oh my did they pull it off with this doc.

If you love fashion or hate fashion there is still something for everyone in this warm hearted display.

Crazy about Tiffany’s will be available on DVD from 4th July, 2016.
