Sean Evans – CEO

Sean Evans CartoonHere goes. So I was born in Stoke on Trent, UK and I’ve been lucky enough to have worked with many top brands including the BBC, Acer, Lynx, Warner Brothers, Universal Pictures, Sony, Eaglemoss, EE, Dr.Pepper, LG and Coca Cola.

It was only in late 2013 that I decided to set up my own self employed Marketing business in the film industry after having a string of boring 9-5 jobs. Since then i’ve worked with such names as James Franco, Robert Englund, Corey Taylor and Marlon Wayans and i’m always looking to jump on-board new and exciting projects. Since BTTM started I’ve not only worked on promoting movies but Producing, on-set work and various other little jobs here and there on various productions.

In addition to Back to the Movies, I am the Chief Marketing Officer and shareholder of the Augmented Reality gaming company based in the United states, a company who are striving to build affordable augmented gaming technology for a mass market.

Back to the Movies was set up in defiance to film reviews / sites who contain ‘journalists’. This term of phrase has always struck a nerve with me and sounds far too official for my liking. I’m a fan, no more, no less. I hate grammar police and there will be mistakes on the site. I never learned a great deal at school and I don’t intend to start now, but I’m doing pretty darn good for myself without knowing where to add a comma and when to add a full stop. I love talking about movies the way many people talk about movies with their friends and that’s the kind of reviews / content I wanted to portray with BTTM. A laid back film site, for film fans. No ‘professional’ titles or qualifications attached.

My IMDB page can be found here.
