The ultimate ‘60s ‘Splatter Film’ BLOOD FEAST receives a remake. Gundo Entertainment and director Marcel Walz take this milestone of cinematic history into the 21st century.
Much harder, bloodier and a must-see for every horror fan. The original BLOOD FEAST is known as the first ’Splatter Film’ film ever made and credited as establishing the gore in modern genre movies through explicit on-screen murder scenes. U.S. production company Gundo Entertainment is in the midst of remaking the horror-classic with principle photography set to conclude on September 25.
The film is looking to raise $22k via Indiegogo with nearly 8k of that raised with two weeks remaining.
The film is set to star horror icons Robert Rusler (A Nightmare On Elm Street 2: Freddy’s Revenge, Vamp, Weird Science) and Caroline Williams (Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2, Contacted: Phase 1, Rob Zombie’s Halloween II) round out the cast as the iconic cannibal killer, Fuad Ramses, and his wife. Sadie Katz, known for a scream queen defining role in the latest in the Wrong Turn film franchise inhabits the role of the tormenting Goddess Ishtar. Award winning Make Up artist Ryan Nicholson (Final Destination, Duncan Jone’s Warcraft, X-Files 2016) heads the special effects department.
