Anchor Bay picks up Fear Clinic the Movie

Anchor Bay Films has picked up all rights to Fear Clinic, a horror movie that began life as a digital series on FEARnet.

The deal includes theatrical, VOD, digital and home entertainment. A late 2014 release is planned for the movie (October) , which is still in production. The deal was made at the Sundance Film Festival.

Robert Hall, a special effects guru who founded SPFX company Almost human co-wrote and is directing the pic, which centers on a fear doctor (played by Robert Englund) who attempts to cure patients suffering from crippling phobias by placing them inside his exposure therapy invention, the Fear Chamber, where he induces and controls hallucinations.

Fiona Dourif (Curse of ChuckyThe Master), Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, A Nightmare on Elm Street), Kevin Gage (Laid to Rest, Blow),Cleopatra Coleman (Step Up Revolution), Angelina Armani (ChromeSkull: Laid to Rest 2) and Corey Taylor of Stone Sour are also in the cast.

After an incredibly popular web series that shot past 5 million viewers, Fear Clinic is already causing a stir in the independent horror community. over 10k Facebook likes and Twitter follows to match, Fear Clinic is going to be a sure fire hit !
